Healing Relationships,
Growing Connection
There was a time when your relationship felt easy.
You have built a good life. Your career is moving, your calendar is full and from the outside everything looks fine. But inside the relationship something has shifted. The connection that once felt effortless now takes work, and lately it feels like even that isn’t enough.
Your not fighting constantly. It’s quieter than that. It’s the distance at the end of a long day. The conversations stay at the surface. The feeling that you and your partner are living parallel lives rather than a shared one. You miss your partner, even when you’re in the same room.
You care about this relationship. That’s exactly why it hurts as much as it does.
You feel like…
You and your partner are different in ways that used to feel complementary. One of you leads with feelings, the other with logic. One of you wants to talk it through, the other wants to solve it and move on.
Lately it feels like you’re speaking two different languages and neither of you knows how to bridge the gap.
The uncertainty in your relationship is making it hard to move forward with confidence. You want to be sure. You want to feel like a team again before you take that next step.
You've tried talking about it. You've tried giving it time. You're not the kind of people who ignore problems, but this one isn't responding to your usual approach. So here you are, looking for something different.
The harder you try to fix it on your own, the more stuck it feels.
This is not about settling into something comfortable.
It's about building something that actually lights you both up.
I’m Gwendolyn.
I’ve dedicated my career to helping people build lasting and fulfilling relationships.
I specialize in working with couples who struggle with communication, feel alone in their relationship, and are ready to rebuild their passion and friendship.

Rooted in science and backed by more than 40 years of research, the Gottman Method offers a practical, evidence-based approach to helping couples build stronger, healthier relationships.
Couples therapy begins with an in-depth assessment of your relationship. In the first session, we’ll explore your relationship history, including the experiences that have brought you closer as well as the challenges you’re facing today. Sessions two and three are individual sessions, giving each partner dedicated space to talk openly about their experiences, struggles, and hopes for the relationship.
From there, our work is structured around understanding the patterns that are keeping you stuck and building skills that can help you create meaningful change. Couples often appreciate that sessions have a clear structure and purpose, that they don’t have to spend every session having a difficult conversation or resolving a conflict, and that they leave with practical tools they can use together between sessions.
My goal is to create a supportive, structured space where you can better understand your relationship, communicate more effectively, and develop the skills needed to build the connection you both want.

It is possible to heal your relationship after an affair. Healing takes time, patience, honesty, and commitment from both partners, but couples can move through the pain of an affair and create a stronger, more connected relationship.
In affair recovery, we follow a three-stage approach: Atone, Atune, and Attach. This process provides a structured path for addressing the impact of the affair, rebuilding trust, understanding the deeper patterns and needs within the relationship, and creating a foundation for renewed connection.
As couples move through the process, they often experience a decrease in emotional pain, greater clarity and understanding, and a growing sense of safety and trust. Over time, couples can begin to reconnect, strengthen their relationship, and decide together what they want their relationship to look like moving forward.

When communication breaks down, even small disagreements can quickly turn into the same frustrating argument. You may feel unheard, misunderstood, criticized, or shut down, while your partner may be experiencing the conversation very differently. Over time, these patterns can create distance and leave both of you wondering how to have a conversation without it turning into a fight.
In couples therapy, we’ll work together to understand the patterns that are getting in the way of connection and learn new ways of communicating with one another. This includes learning how to express your needs clearly, listen without immediately becoming defensive, slow down difficult conversations, and respond to one another in ways that create greater understanding rather than more conflict.
The goal isn't to eliminate disagreements. Healthy couples still disagree. The goal is to help you navigate those disagreements differently, so that difficult conversations become opportunities for understanding, repair, and connection rather than cycles of conflict and disconnection.

Premarital counseling is an opportunity to be intentional about the relationship you’re building before you get married. Using the Gottman Method, we’ll identify the strengths you already have as a couple, explore areas that may need a little more attention, and build practical skills for communication, conflict, connection, and navigating the challenges that come with married life. Whether you’re working through a few important conversations or simply want to give your relationship the strongest foundation possible, premarital counseling can help you enter marriage with a deeper understanding of one another and the tools to stay connected through the years ahead.
How it Works
01
Reach out
Taking the first step toward couples therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you’re already feeling disconnected or stuck. Reach out to schedule a free 20-minute consultation where we’ll talk about what’s happening in your relationship, what you’re hoping will change, and whether working together feels like the right fit.
02
Get to work
Once we begin, we’ll take the time to understand your relationship, the patterns that are keeping you stuck, and what each of you needs to feel connected again. Through a structured assessment and collaborative treatment plan, we’ll identify the areas that need attention and begin building practical skills you can use both in and outside of therapy. Sessions are a place to slow things down, feel heard, understand each other more clearly, and begin doing something different.
03
See change
Change happens as you begin putting new skills and ways of relating into practice. You may find that conversations become less reactive, conflicts are easier to navigate, and you feel more understood and connected to your partner. Over time, the goal is not simply to have fewer problems, but to build a relationship where you enjoy each other again, feel secure in your connection, and have the tools to navigate challenges together.
